iPad

IPAD

(mimpi yang sedang goyah)

Saya punya mimpi: beli iPad. Soalnya saya (merasa) perlu benda ini untuk wahana hiburan, kerja dan tentunya gaya. Rupanya sekarang saya mesti berpikir ulang apakah mimpi beli iPad ini perlu dipertahankan atau tidak.

Sejak tahun 2005 secara serius saya berhenti membeli barang-barang dengan merk tertentu yang saya tahu diproduksi di pabrik-pabrik yang tidak memperlakukan buruh dengan baik dan manusiawi. Ada beberapa produk garment yang tidak akan saya beli atau pakai kecuali jika kematian yang saya terima jika tidak membeli atau memakainya. Ada juga beberapa produk sepatu, makanan, dll.

Hari ini saya membaca link berikut di dinding Facebook teman saya yang disitu dia mengatakan “Biar pegimane Raik pasti masih ngimpiin iped”. Raik adalah nama panggilan di kantor dan mereka semua tahu bahwa saya menyesal telah membeli Blackberry lantaran sebenarnya sangat menginginkan iPhone; saya membeli Blackberry karena semua orang lapangan memakainya dan demi memperlancar komunikasi di lapangan saya mengikuti mereka. Namun ketika beberapa teman membeli Samsung Galaxy Tab, saya bergeming karena masih berencana membeli iPad. Kegiatan menabung jalan terus, kurang dikit lagi udah kebeli.

Kembali ke link teman Facebook: Sebagai orang yang (kadang merasa) peduli terhadap buruh pabrik, hari ini saya jadi bete membaca berita tersebut.

Steve Jobs seharusnya hidup kembali dan ikut secara langsung menyaksikan bagaimana kondisi sesungguhnya karyawan yang mengerjakan produk-produk Apple.

Ok, teman-teman. Ini hanya kegiatan berbagi; bukan kegiatan provokasi untuk memboikot produk tertentu jadi silakan dinikmati saja.
