You

I speak with you
With no language.
When with you,
I know no time.
In you I find me.
In me I find you.
Then we separate
To miss each other,
To love
With no limit.

Full

How full are you, Love?
Leave a space where air can move
And water can flow.

It is Ramadhan 1, I started my 30-day fasting.

Fasting is not a new or foreign to my family. My parents consider it a sacred practice in their life. My oldest sister does fast every two days. Intermitten fasting is never a new thing for us. We are Javanese, we fast both as a spiritual sanctuary and mental exercise.

When we talk about fasting in Javanese tradition, it is not always like the Islamic fasting (not eating, not drinking, not smoking, not having sex on the daylight). Fasting or pasa or poso in Javanese is managing what is in and out through all doors of senses in our body. It can be simply by choosing what to eat, when to eat, how to eat.

In old days Javanese did many different types of fasting and so they name those types of fasting differently.

Mutih (derived from the word putih or white in Javanese) is when they only eat rice and drink water. They won’t be consuming anything with tastes: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, gurih, etc.

Ngidang (derived from the word kidang or deer in Javanese) is when they only consume leafy vegetables and water, and no other things.

Ngrowot (derived from the word krowot that means “no rice” in Javanese) in when they will not consume rice and any product of any kind of rice).

Etc….

For this Ramadhan I decided to do ngrowot. It means I will not consume any rice and any product of rice crom dawn to dusk, from day 1 until end of Ramadhan. I want to know how good I am pushing myself through “hunger”.

Bismillah!

Yes, I can.

Numbers

Through numbers I see
How happy human beings are
Zigzagging among their dreams,
Excusing to leave what is.

With numbers I hear
How flowing rivers are
Splashing over the rocks and debris,
Calming by the wind.

One number in this equation
Suddenly disappeared.
No. It faded away.
Ya. Getting confused.

Dear
Number,
Fade away.
Find your way.

——

I love numbers, not necessarily through Math but playing with them feels like swimming in an ocean of never-ending possibilities — yet my favourite ones are still 1, 7 and 9 with no logical reasons at all

there is no reason to love you

yet there are ones to not fight for that love

Love you…. Whoohoo!!! 😃😂💕😘

Aku ini adalah dirimu
Cinta ini adalah cintamu

Aku ini adalah dirimu
Jiwa ini adalah jiwamu

Rindu ini adalah rindumu
Darah ini adalah darahmu

Tak ada yang lain selain dirimu
Yang selalu kupuja

Wo uh wo

Ku sebut namamu
Di setiap hembusan napasku

Kusebut namamu
Kusebut namamu

Dengan tanganmu aku menyentuh
Dengan kakimu aku berjalan

Dengan matamu ku memandang
Dengan telingamu ku mendengar

Dengan lidahmu aku bicara
Dengan hatimu aku merasa

Tak ada yang lain selain dirimu
Yang selalu kupuja

Wo uh wo

Ku sebut namamu
Di setiap hembusan napasku

Kusebut namamu
Kusebut namamu

Tak ada yang lain selain dirimu
Yang selalu kupuja

Wo uh wo

Ku sebut namamu
Di setiap hembusan napasku

Kusebut namamu
Kusebut namamu

9 (ranting)

Why 9? It’s just 9.
When counting 9, it brings 9.
9 is 9. Be 9.

Why 9?

Back to uni days I was very keen of learning numerology, slightly superstitious to certain level but it was very entertaining and encouraging. It doesn’t give me a lot of benefits in career but a little knowledge about numerology sometimes gives me unique perspective of problem solving; or hmmm at least good distraction. Based on numerology each number has meaning and energy. Different number, different meaning, different vibe, different luck.

Among all numbers my favourite is 1, 7, 9. Very personal. Yet I like to make it look reasonable and logical. 😊

bus 179 😎

What about those numbers?

1 – One is loyalty, dedication, unity, singularity. We are loyal when we “worship” one – the God, the love. Dedication is focusing on one – one company, one citizenship, one goal. Unity is multiple agreeing on one – unity in diversity. Singularity is uniqueness of one, no comparison – feel it when we’re alone, that’s who you are. My definition as individual being rules the game.

7 – Seven is pitu in Javanese, an abbreviation of pitulungan that means help, support. No one can live alone as social beings so helping and supporting each other is the only way to survive in society. Cultural definition rules the game.

9 – September the 9th month is my birth month. I was categorised to have a character of group 9 in one numerology class. Almost dead at 9. 9 is the only number that I adore because of its logical and scientific function. 9 is my lucky number! Both empirical and logical experiences rule the game.

Dear, my favourite numbers. When will my company stock price go up back to 179 again? That is the point of my favourite numbers ranting today!

Happy weekend!

Attributing You

How perfect you are,
99.
I’m the 1 completing the reality.
And so we are completed,
100!

Life is blessed when the heart is loaded and bedazzled with three gemstones of the beautiful names and attributes of God: the amethyst of Ar-Rahman (the beneficent), the emerald of Ar-Rahiem (the merciful) and the rose quartz of Al-Latif (the subtle one, the most gentle).

It’s a personal interpretation; don’t quote me.

People say that the quality of God can’t be bounded with the beauty of any but at the same time it can in order to attribute God with something sensuously beautiful at the same time symbolising some characters. I chose gemstone. Why not flowers, why gemstones? Let it be

The three qualities are those projected to be. Someday —not sure when— I’ll acceptably be. Not sure when….

Enchanting those three attributes without thinking what religions I’m holding has been helpful to cope with many challenges especially facing those contesting and/or underestimating. Forgive them, love them and keep gentle in the heart— how much ever tough the argument is, be gentle in the heart; how much ever confrontation to be tackled, be gentle in the heart; how much ever firm intonation to be uttered, be gentle in the heart. At the end it is not winning an argument that’s important; it is accepting the learning process the bounties. Gorgeous and precious as gemstones—

So thankful to be a human being, being able to wildly interpret what might be rigidly believed by others, being able to move meaning from where beauty is rigidly defined to wherever a defined beauty can be criticised. That’s a privilege only for those who have enough space for being humane — take learning step, one by one….

In this crowded world, the safest sanctuary is being one’s self where those that I know don’t really care and those that I care don’t really know.

May I have another gemstone? 🤨

May all beings be happy….

counting the blessings – thanks for everything.

Still You, Just

You’re in the dark. Who?
What? Matter? Not! It’s still you.
Just some shade and light.

I’m never perfect, will never be as long as I live with and in this matter. There won’t be any absence of uncertainty. There is always a gap to bridge, a space in between, an emptiness after fulfilment…. Always between 0 and 1 – a binary system of wholeness I call it. Swinging like a pendulum from one point to another up to one extreme point before at the end of momentum thrown back to the next direction…..

Why would you stay in the day for 24 hours if you can stay cool in the dark for 12 hours after a long working day? Or the other way around with some reason?

Why would you mind missing someone for at least an hour a day if it can make this life more vibrant? Just don’t hate….

Why would you regret your broken heart as long as you don’t hurt anyone’s pride? Just don’t forget to love yourself….

No matter what and who you are some time of and in your life, you’re still you. Be you! Be more whole you every time…. A true you

May all beings be happy.
