I wish to retire at 52 and will be a person with not too many layers of identity, being a human being living a slower-paced life, contributing to smaller society and community with my own hands with all my heart and soul, respected as I am I am not as I am who is associated to prominent organizations.

One of good friends reminded me to get prepared for that will definitely be a much different life. There won’t be luxurious facilities enjoyed, privilege given, smiles and hand shake or bow. She says it’s gonna be a true life though loved and respected by those with genuine love and respect. No transactional courtesy, all is about friendship and humanity.

When? Still long time to go but short enough because now I live in a fast-paced life.

Time to prepare.

Once retired, I won’t want to be in contact with those who have respected me because of business or money. They should be eliminated from friendship. They will deserve others who have the capacity.

May all beings be happy. 💝

Arid Land, His Heart

I never want to hurt myself, I just didn’t know who you are.
I got hurt by a cactus in a desert
Who pricks little fingers,
Who just want to touch this life softly,
Not hurting, not taking anything away.


Wounded, I decided to blame stupidity:
Why did I have to have to have to have to have to just touch cacti? I should have left that arid land long before I touched a prickly spirit.


A delayed regret is less important than a lesson learned but it always gives a story the most significant pivot.


Now
I’ll just admire from here
From where I stand
With millions of prayers
For a secret journey.
Yet I know you are a ghost days and nights.


Someday when I pour down the rain,
You’ll know.
Love is as sweet as water in drought—
Maybe—
If it is not late....

Metal in colors – haiku

Adorning body:
They see a witch in pink and
Metals in colors.

Suddenly I see a witch with so many jewelries in her body, colorful metals of many kinds and types: not sure if they are gold or silver or copper or others. What I see is a beautiful witch with beautiful and colorful metals.

Oh I can see many gemstones, too….

A story of me and my fellow creature, a beautiful dog

And I don’t know to whom I am asking these questions…. And, I find myself in the middle of a market…. Everyone is shouting, everyone is selling, everyone is focusing on what words they’re saying.

Eveyone is speaking, but no one is listening, everyone is living alone….

When I saw a dog in a steet, a dusty ground street. I asked him where I ought to go…. And, he just looked at me without a word passing by me away….

Every one is living, every one is breathing, every one is busy with oneself….

Every one is walking, but no one was stopping, just to care what life is in the other’s end….

Then I chased the dog passing by me. I said, “Hello, Dog. Where are you going? Can I go with you until the next cross roads”. He nodded his head and smiled….

Then we went ahead together. No cross road ahead we found and we decided to go ahead together until we really had to quit….

Life is about sharing even with a dog. Thank you, God for sending me a dog that has been so focused on walking down the path of life.

Chinese Tea

Do you like drinking tea? What tea? Chinese or English or Ceylon or Indian or local tea in your country?

Just last month my colleagues and I went to Shanghai’s Yu Garden to get some tea – a routine walk in Shanghai. Everyone in my circle like going there for good tea.

Different sizes of jars are piled and arranged in sparawling racks wall to wall. On a humble table the beautiful tea seller serves any requested tea. She infuses the tea with boiled water gracefully. She tries her best to speak English to all of us. Lucky we have Sabrina, a Singaporean Chinese with very good Mandarin; she always acts as our tranlator — thank you, buddy!

Fruit base tea – orange peel, Apple, pear mixed together, the taste is amazingly good! Like a tango in the mouth and refreshing the cavity where it goes before reaching the stomach…. Then…. it goes to blood transporting energy to the whole body!

Long story short, Chinese tea offers various kinds of a lot of ranges of color, ingredient, origin, taste and efficacy. You can find flower base, fruit base, leaf base, bark base, root base and all combinations of those all. So, you can shop as many as you want excitedly. There are tea for gastric, diet, cough, toothache, tiresome, skin rash, skincare, flu, rheumaticsm, etc…. It’s just exciting to shop teas in Yuan Garden.
